In a twinkling of an eye, it is already the end of week 8. Everything has been going on quite well except the homeworks given by our teachers, but it I am still able to cope with it. Everyone has already been allocated to their own CCA. I hope that you all will like your CCA and enjoy it. As for me, training has already began in January because I used volleyball to enter Hwa Chong Institution. I enjoy playing volleyball since I was in primary 2. As you know, Anthony is also a volleyball player. We have encountered each other 3 times in the Nationals with Anthony's teaml winning twice and my teaml winning once. The closest encounter was during last year's National's group stage where we had an extremely close and interesting game but I eventually lost, but was not disappointed as both teams played well and we lost by a few crucial points and a few poor judgement by the referee. Even though we were previously rivals in the court, we are now good friends and teammates too! Apart from Anthony, there is also many of my friendly seniors who are very kind and we get along well and thus our training is always fun.
After school today, a few of the sec 1 volleyball players including me took the bus to CCMH ( Co-Curricular Multi-purpose Hall, if i am not wrong ) to see the match between our seniors and Yishun Town Secondary. My senior, Wang Hongsen, led the team to a 3point lead with 2 ace service. A series of miscommunication and errors allowed Yishun Town to reverse the score and had a 5 point lead. Hwa Chong was obviously unwilling to give up and could not take it lying-down, Tiu Weeyong and Elvin Lim had a number of strong yet well-placed shots to break the Yishun Town defence. After countless attacks from Hwa Chong, they finally took the lead and eventually won the set. After the first set, the moral of Yishun Town rapidly decreased. Our seniors then won the game with the final blow coming from a shot that fooled Yishun Town and landed between the setter and the blockers. The match was quite an interesting one and we all went home after the match had ended.
