Hi everyone! I am Koh Jing Yuan and this is my forth blog post.I am going to talk about the trip to museum.
We went on board the bus at about 2.20pm and then we sat on the bus for about half an hour then we reached the National Museum of Singapore.We then walked up the stairs to another room.On the way up, there is one air conditioner blowing at the stairs. Everybody wanted to stay there and enjoy the air-con. We then placed our belonging outside the room ,formed groups of eights, then we proceeded inside the room.
Inside the room, we had a short briefing about the Egyptians and what they wrote on. Then we had our own hands-on session on making a papyrus-inspired paper. We started tearing paper into some strips of paper then we dipped them into the glue mixture and then placed it on the aluminium foil. After this activity, we split up into two groups and one of the groups will go and see the gallery first while the other wll go and have their chop with the Egyptians alphebets.
I wjoined the group that goes for the chop first.
When we arrived at our destination, everybody was snatching for the chops that represent different alphabets. After 10mins, we left the chop station and then we proceeded into the gallery. We went to see a mummified body first and the tour guide gave us some brief explanation about the mummified body. We then looked at items that were buried with the body. We also looked at a lot of interesting things and learned interesting facts about the Egyptians.
I enjoyed this trip to the National Museum of singapore and hope i can vist it for more exciting tours and exhibitions about interesting things.
