Harloz people, this is the handsome Jin Xiang :):):) and this is my third post. I am going to talk about the IH trip to NMS(National Museum of Singapore) today. Our whole awesome class, together with class 1A1, assembled at the carpark at around 2.20p.m. Both classes then went to the museum by bus. When we reached the museum, both classes split. Our class went for the "lesson" on the Ancient Egyptians' quest for immortality. The "teachers" were Miss Betty and Miss Tan. They talked about the Egyptians' culture and how they build the pyramids. After that, we did a hands on on making a Paparys-inspired paper(PS if the Paparys spelled wrongly). Basically we tore the paper into strips and dipped them into some starchy water, and then put them horizontally and vertically on the aluminium foil. We leave them out to dry afterwards. After our hands on, we went down to the gallery and looked at the exhibits. They had a whole collection of Ancient Egyptian statues, and I attached photos of some of them above. The middle picture was actually a statue of two animals MATING. After going through the whole exhibit, we got some of the prepared Paparys paper and stamped whatever we wanted on the paper. The stamps provided were the simplified characters of the Egyptian language. I initially wanted to stamp my initials on but there was no "X" letter, so I stamped on my surname instead. After that we collected our bags and our partially dried handiwork, and said our goodbyes to the NMS.
This shall be the end of my posting and goodbye for now.
Btw, what did I say to you on the stairs Yu Xuan?
