Hi, I am Eddie and this is my second post.
The day before Chinese New Year's Eve
Before Chinese New Year's Eve, Hwa Chong had a celebration and after the celebration, I went back to my primary school. However, I reached there too early and was unable to go in as the teachers are having a meeting and others having lessons. Thus, I went to play soccer with my old primary school mates.
After playing soccer, the grass at the field made me itchy so even after the school gate opened, i still went back straight home. After that, I packed my bag and went to Malaysia in the evening. It was a long trip there. I spent my time playing, sleeping and reading.
Chinese New Year's Eve
When I reached there, it was already the Chinese New Year's Eve at around 3am. My uncle came to fetch my family and i went to my grandmother's house. I was so tired that I fell asleep once I reach there. When I woke up, I ate breakfast and after that, my grandmother and my mum began to prepare the Reunion Dinner. I stayed at my grandmother's home the whole day, occasionally helping my mum. In the evening, all my uncles and cousins came to eat the Reunion Dinner together and we 'lao yu sheng' together.
After dinner, we watched the television together until about 12 and then we celebrated the Chinese New Year by putting fireworks and also we released a 'kong ming teng'!
First day of Chinese New Year
In the morning, I had vegetarian dishes for breakfast because due to Chinese customs, we were not allowed to eat any meat in the morning. After that, I went to relatives' house to get red packets and of course, I gambled a bit.
Second Day of Chinese New Year
I also went to visit my relatives' house and there was more gambling. At night, I returned to Singapore.
Third Day of Chinese New Year
I reached Singapore at about 2pm and then went home and rushed through my chinese project and then went to visit my Singapore relatives and got plenty of red packets.
Forth Day of Chinese New Year
School reopens.
