HELLO EVERYBODY! :D
This is my third post,and this post is going to be about my Chinese New Year celebration.
FIRSTLY,on the day just before chinese new year eve, my school had a chinese new year celebration.We were strongly encouraged to wear bright colours to school. It has always been a tradition to do that,but some of us, just did not bother.
The school concert was rather interesting. Firstly, there was a lion dance performance, staged by hwa chong's very own students.Next, the chinese orchestra went up and played some songs. After that, some of the teachers went up to sing some chinese new year songs.(this performance was kind of boring and lame ><)Then, the wushu team staged a performance.This was the performance that i enjoyed the most. There were lots of somersaults, weopons and lots of other things that would make people gasp, cheer, laugh etc. :D After that, there was this hilarious play staged by the chinese drama team. (although i cant really understand their accent :P).Overall, the concert was a success, and i really enjoyed it.
As the chinese saying goes, “台上一分钟,台下十年工”(something like that :D) I am very sure the chinese orchestra, the wushu team etc put in a lot of effort to make this concert a success.
On new year's eve, i went to my grandparents house at about seven. Before that, I was watching television from around 9am to 6pm ((((: When I reached my grandparent's house, my family members just started their meal. The food were super good, as my grandmother is a fantastic cook. I ate a few bowls of rice, and drank about 4 bolws of curry :D My appetite is really good there. Maybe i should stay there for the rest o my life so that i will eat more and grow more ((((((: When i went back home, my family counted down till new year, and we had some tidbits and champagne, before sleeping :D
The first day of new year was all about watching television, eating goodies, and collecting red packets. I had around 20 red packets, but altogether, there were only 270 dollars. How cheapskate and stingy were my family members :D
For the rest of the long weekend, we had to do our homework, as there were loads and loads of them. SIGH.this year's new year was kind of boring. HATE IT ><
