Hello everyone,
This is my third blog post and I am rushing to finish all my five blog posts by today. I am going to talk about the fieldtrip to the National Museum of Singapore. We went there after school as a class and I really enjoyed what I did there. When we arrived, we were told to enter a room where an expert in Ancient Egypt explained to us what it was like then. There were many interesting facts like how people made the pyramids and the origins of mummifying. I enjoyed listening to the stories told about Egyptians and how and why they believed in after life. We even made our own Egyptian paper. I had a lot of fun!
After all the talking, we went to fill our Egyptian paper with Egyptian stamps with 22 different alphabets. I managed to stamp my name on the paper. Next up, we went inside to view the exhibition. It was called "Quest For Immortality" I was amazed with what I saw. In the exhibition, there were some mummies that we saw. We were told that only rich people and people with royal blood were able to mummify themselves, while the others just had to bury themselves in the sand in Egypt. We even saw mummified animals like crocodiles and cats. I also managed to take some pictures. After the whole 15 minutes of walk through, we headed back for school. I was very tired but I was glad that I had learnt something about the Egyptians.
