HEY GUYS! :D
This post is about my first impression of Hwa Chong Instituition and my expereince during the secondary one orientation and and about myself,as a 华中子弟.So,here it goes.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The first two things that greeted me once i stepped out of the car
--->A tall and mighty structure, towering over all the other buildings. It is none other than Hwa Chong's Clock Tower.
--->The statue of Tan Kah Kee.I ever wondered what it would be like if my statue was erected right in the middle of the best school in singapore :D But that is IMPOSSIBLE.Firstly, the statue would be too short and it would not be as outstanding as the current statue, and secondly, why would hwa chong even bother to erect a statue of me,when i did not even do anything(at all)for the school.Even if i did do something for the school, they definitely would not erect my statue, because if they did, they would have to erect a statue for everybody that contributed to the school, and that would just be crazy as hwa chong would end up having a few thousand statues everywhere.LOLS :P okay,i guess i should stop talking nonsense.

SOO 2010
The orientation started with a rather boring game called .The buddies were shouting at the top of their voices, while the new people(secondary one)were stoning and not participating at all. I felt super awkward.
The organising team then decided to send us back to our respective group class to start our ice breaker games and cheer practice. After the games,we roughly new each other's names and also start to get to know each other.
CHEER PRACTICE WAS HORRENDOUS.I was actually not cheering at all as i felt very very awkward.Almost no one in the team cheered,(except for jason, who is extremely enthusiastic in everything)but after the buddies' encouragement and "scolding",i started to cheer, but rather softly.Everytime we cheer at the top of our voices, the buddies and the organising team would still be unsatisfied and would say stuff like "Too soft!""My grandparents can do better!""It has improved but it is still to soft".LOLS,it is like never ending. You will never ever get praised by them :D WORST THING IS,MY VOICE WENT HOARSE
The second day of orientation was just going around the school to have trials of the EP3s.Still havent made up my mind on what EP3 to take D;
The third day of the orientation was kind of fun.Water balloons were thrown at us by our seniors and pails of water were poured on us.I was drenched from head to toe,but it was super fun (((: We also had our cheer competition.Sadly,my group did not win the competition, but we won the "Most Bonded Group Award".GOT A WHOLE BOX OF SWEETS.but my voice was super hoarse and my throat was burning excruciatingly.THE STREPSILS IN MY REFRIDgERATOR WOULD COME IN HANDY :D
Myself,as a 华中子弟
I am Mervin Lim.My previous school is Nan Hua Primary School and my CCA was table tennis.I have participated in various competitions and won several medals, but most of the time, all i do is seat on the bench and watch, and i will only play with the lousiest of the players in the west zone, like the players from juying, clementi and stuff, which means that i am one of the lousiest in the senior team.SADSADSAD D; My hobby is playing soccer, and i support ARSENAL (((:
I got an aggregate of 265(distinction for higher chinese) and that enabled me to enter my dream school :D
Honestly,Nan Hua is like an ant, while Hwa Chong is like an elephant, when both schools are compared in terms of size.In Hwa Chong,i get lost on a daily basis while in nan hua,i never got lost in my entire 6 years there.LOLS :D Maybe not daily basis, but very frequently.
As a 华中子弟I would want to set higher expectations for myself so that i can "bring the school glory"
--->An MSG of 1.3 and below(malay not included)
MY POST IS VERY LENGTHY,SORRY ABOUT THAT O_O|||
With that,i would like to end my post with a few more pictures (((:

A statue that caught my attention(((:

The super big school field

The Kong Chian Statue at the entrance of the library

The pond outside the Kah Kee Hall :D

The entrance of the Kah Kee Hall

The tap in the science laboratory. The pictures were supposed to be for drawing the science lab,but since the teacher told us to take some photos for drawing the laboratory,i thought i should upload them as thry would make the posts abit more interesting :D
AND ONE MORE THING,MALAY SPECIAL PROGRAMME WAS SUPER FUN TODAY :D
MAY 1A2 ROCK ON,
